Last updated July 12, 2026. When We Match is available only to adults 18 and over.
By creating an account or using When We Match, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old and located in the United States to use When We Match. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet both requirements, and that the person you name in your search is also an adult.
When We Match is a bilateral matching service. A connection forms only when two people have each independently created their own account and named the other person. Every potential match is reviewed by our team before either person is notified. We cannot guarantee that the person you name will sign up, and we do not contact them on your behalf.
When a match is confirmed, a private one-on-one chat between the two matched users opens. Neither party is required to communicate. Either party may end the chat at any time.
You must provide truthful information about yourself and the person you are searching for. You may not impersonate another person, create a search for someone you do not actually know, or provide false identifying details. We may verify information and decline or remove any search at our discretion.
When We Match is currently free to use. There is no subscription and no charge. We reserve the right to introduce pricing in the future; existing users will be given advance notice before any charge applies.
You may not use When We Match to:
Violation of any of these restrictions may result in immediate termination of your account.
We may decline any search, cancel any match, or suspend or terminate any account at our discretion — including where we have a safety concern, where information appears inaccurate, or where these terms have been violated. Where termination is not for cause, we may, at our discretion, reinstate the account.
The service relies on Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Supabase (infrastructure). Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.
When We Match and its content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our written permission.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a match will be found.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, When We Match and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless When We Match and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party’s rights.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the service will be resolved through binding individual arbitration — not in court and not as a class action. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.
Before initiating arbitration, you agree to contact us at legal@whenwematch.co and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute informally.
We may update these terms from time to time. If the changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
